Dùn Sain LLC, or just Dùn (pronounced, doon), provides practical preparedness guidance for organizations that operate in public-facing, community-centered environments. We help leadership teams translate policy into procedures that staff and volunteers can actually follow when conditions are unclear, stressful, or rapidly changing.
Our work focuses on soft-target organizations — faith-based NGOs, churches, hospitals, schools, and community institutions — where resources are limited, risk tolerance is complex, and generic guidance often fails in practice.
Dùn is a remote-first advisory firm. This allows us to work efficiently across regions while maintaining independence from vendors, technology platforms, and fear-driven security models. When appropriate, though, on-site support is available.
The name Dùn comes from Scottish Gaelic, meaning fortified hill — a place of preparation, not panic. The word Sain is also Scottish Gaelic and means blessed or blessing. The principle of being a blessed fortress on high ground guides our work: mission-centered, measured, proportionate preparedness rooted in realism rather than alarmism.
